Well,
They posted it on their facebook pages so i guess its ok to let the cat out of the bag (as this is old news to jason, bill, brent, and the whole crew)... http://www.wakeworld.com/forum/showthread.php?t=781625 Not sure what i think about that new tower, might look alot better with a pair of 485's on it or something. Tow point looks alot higher than the other towers? More headroom? As many of you know me, you know my first concern is headroom ![]() Whatchya think? |

Headroom is high on your list.
I think the graphics look like early 90's Polaris 4 wheelers and don't like them. I never fold my tower down, so I think its useless for it to be mechanical. The new interior looks amazing and holds up better. |

Towers look way better in person.. Jason and I were able to see pictures of it about 2 months ago and we're very nervous about them. After seeing them on Wed, we we're sold on them immediately. The interior is awesome and the graphite white is my favorite. The towers in all those pictures are not the final product. They will not be available until late Sept. We will have a 2011 in our showroom in 2 weeks so come check it out. And we will have on coming in Nov with the new power tower...

The interior looks sick! Love the gel on the x-star! Not a fan of the new graphics but they usually grow on me.
The tower seems a little over kill, it still looks like it sits higher than the windshield...isn't that usually the goal in putting it down (to get it below or level with the windshield)? I respect MC for being innovative! |

I'm all about functionality, but also like simplicity and a design that doesn't box you in. These new towers (on all makes) don't seem to make it easy for you to add board capacity unless you buy some sort or "cargo" bimini...which leads to other difficulties. Give me the '01 / '02 Flight Control Tower any day.

I agree that I like a simple design but that would not match the rest of the boat. Everyone has seen a nice new boat that someone threw a Monster tower on because it was cheap and they don't look all that great. Its like a girl with an awsome body and gnarly face. That is how a new X-star would look with a Old Flight Control tower.
But I really wish I had 2 sets of board racks on one side of my tower so I could fit 6 boards in the racks. I knew a guy that had it on a malibu and it opened the boat up so much when you have a lot of guys in the boat. |
