Default WWA Wake Park Nationals coming to Wake Nation

The WWA and the Dallas Watersports Complex (DWC) regretfully announce that the location for the 2010 Ten-80 WWA Wake Park Nationals, the 3rd stop of the Monster Energy Wake Park Triple Crown, will change. As originally scheduled, the event is slotted for September 17th – 19th 2010 at DWC, and will move venues to Wake Nation in Cincinnati, Ohio on the same dates.

The new location for the TEN-80 WWA Wake Park Nationals will be Wake Nation outside Cincinnati, Ohio “We are glad to have the support of the parks so that we have an alternate venue ready to go for the Nationals. As it is also the last stop in the Monster Energy Triple Crown, we are bummed not to be able to have DWC host the event, but we’re excited to bring such a large scale event to Wake Nation as well” says Shawn Perry, Executive Director of the WWA.

The Dallas Watersports Complex (DWC) has had a set back for opening this summer. With two Sesitec cable systems ordered, shipped and ready to be installed into the lake, the word was given late last week that they will have to wait until the spring of 2011 at the latest to open the park. Owner Chad Lacerte is frustrated, but still very optimistic about receiving the approval from the Dallas Housing Authority to move into their location. “From the beginning, the city of Dallas has been behind our project to help create a sports recreational facility in west Dallas. The city, the community, and our group are very excited about how this cable park will help the local area.” Lacerte stated.

Sesitec has been in full force with making this park a reality for Lacerte and the wakeboarding community. “This is unfortunate for the Triple Crown and the city of Dallas. The DWC will be one of the biggest and best cable parks in the world. Sesitec and the Wake Park Project are excited and ready to bring the Dallas Watersports Complex to Dallas.” stated Pat Panakos.

“The WWA is in full support of Chad and his endeavors with the ground breaking park and excited about working with DWC in the future. If all goes as planned the WWA will definitely host a Monster Energy Triple Crown event there in 2011.”

The World Wakeboard Association (WWA) is a rider formed organization dedicated to promoting and growing wake sports worldwide. It is the leading source for riders, event organizers and competitive standards.
