Rodney and I have made a few calls to some wakeboard camps down in Florida. We are going to try and schedule a trip to the Wakeboard Camp in Clermont, FL sometime during mid to late October. This is the same camp that put together "The Book" instructional and you can check out the details at www.wakeboardcamp.com (http://www.wakeboardcamp.com).

Rodney called them and if we can get 4 people to go our "unofficial" rate would be $900 per person for the week (you ride from Monday through Friday). With 4 people we would basically go out on our own boat with our own coach(es). The only downside is they are a Malibu exclusive camp so we'll have to ride behind Wakesetters all week. ;) We would arrive on a Sunday, drive to the camp, and leave Saturday morning that following weekend. The price includes your riding + instruction, lodging, and food. You would be responsible for your airfare to Orlando. Right now the cheapest ticket I found was around $270 round trip unless you have buddy passes (hook me up :D ) or skymiles.

I'm pretty sure Rodney and I will go... thus we are looking for 2 or 3 more brave souls to go with us. If you have any interest post and let me know. We can try and do a week that works good for all of us so we can go together. We might be able to get a larger price break if we get more to go but I wouldn't count on that at this point.

Lets get a crew together and make this thing happen. Get ready for a week of Rodney faceplants! 900 for all your food, lodging and 15 sets in 5 days, what could be better?

one thing to keep in mind...and i had to lie to the the ticket lady ab it when i went to cali, is that some airlines will charge you an added cost for boardbags and specifically WAKEBOARDS...it's varies from no-cost to up to $100 ONE WAY for boards depending on who you fly with...

You could probably find some cheaper camps but.....you would have to ride behind a Mastercrap.

From what I heard last night it sounds like Jason, Joe, Josh and myself are interested in making this thing happen. What week in October works best for you guys, I was thinking maybe the second week so we may be able to ride a few times when we get back. Its just as easy for each person to call and book themselves, they require a deposit then full payment when you get there. We need to get this scheduled pretty quickly. Lets pick a week and go from there...

The only people I ever see going up and down the lake, throwing inverts and spins, and off axis tricks have always been riding behind a MC X *.....

It has to be the boat!!!
