i've always wondered what one of those would look like with tower on it...what do you think about faded pink and baby blue and you know i'd have to name it "Rockin Rodney" and listen to nothing but 80's music...

That pink and blue rodney boat with the engine covers open from the yacht club has your name all over it. You could probably wakeboard at 110 mph behind that thing.

hopefully that will go away as soon as i make a few more posts...and correct me if i'm wrong but i think the correct spelling of that is Baja....

when was the last time the city or lake association promoted our little lake on a national scale?

the city and lake association may have to re-think their "bladder boat" policy in the future....

HOLD UP skurfer....i've been a board member of the lake association for the past 4 years and have only missed one meeting, and i'm here to tell you that first; the Lake Association and the City of Williamstown's City counsel are two completley different entities, and altought the Lake Association trys to work with the City, the Lake Association Board does not agree with alot of the restrictions the city has applied to this lake.

But, ultimately the city has full authority over these waters as proved in court about eighteen years ago when the Lake Association sued the city spending approximately $25,000. in legal fees and lost it case.

Second of all, the "Bladder Boat" band from this lake was a direct result of the Fish and Wildlife officers complaining to the city, stating that massive erosion to the shore line is accuring, due to these boats. The Lake Association had nothing to do with this restriction, several of us who board spoke up against this issue but the association has no authority over the lake at all!!

Third....the Lake Association board members strongly supports the newly formed Water Sports Club knowing full well that the majority of the club members are wakeboards including myself.

So please..... in the future do not confuse the City of Williamstown with the Lake Association.

I threw it together and sent it out about a month ago. I was actually surprised that it got listed. I sent it to the Grant Co. News but no word from them yet.

Hey BoardPimp,

Your points are well taken. Seems like a lack of information on my part has lead to several assumptions as well. You know there are alot of people that assume the Lake Asoociation works to create and help implement many of the changes we've seen on the lake in the past 10 years, I'll stand corrected. The more information you can get out there the better.

FishinSucks,
YOu could probably just hte use the wakeworld press release that Alteczen wrote.

May 29th, 2007 marked an important day for Williamstown Lake in the small town of Dry Ridge, Kentucky. A group of local riders and enthusiasts got together and decided to hold the first Wakeboarding event on the lake - The Willytown Throwdown. A total of 18 riders filled two separate divisions and lined the starting dock at 8:30am.

As the riders took to the water to earn their stake of the prizes, spectators from all over the lake lined the shorelines to show their support. In addition to the normal 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards, judges also awarded a rider in each division for the Best Fashion Air and Best Crash. A winner for each division was awarded by combining scores from the crowd.

The Willytown Throwdown could not have been done without the help of local sponsors. We would like to thank Plapp's Pro Outdoors, Entertain Cincy, Optimle Studios, the Williamstown Sports Club and everyone else who helped make this event such a huge success.
