you also know that HVL has a 20 foot restriction on boats (which doesnt seem to apply to pontoons, theres some dude running around in a 24 foot pontoon with dual outdrives...).

They also have a restriction on ballast (been caught before running it), as well as the STUPID FREAKING STOPLIGHT. I hate that thing. it'll turn yellow (no wake) at 8:30 on summer nights when theres a good 30-45 minutes of riding left... can't even surf.

Its super convenient if you live there, but just be careful if you're running there, they will ticket people...

yeah they r kinda dicks out there. i got warned about turning to the left to pick up a dropped life jacket when no one else was even around. the lake patrol told me u have to turn to the right every time.
i went last night and had decent water before the storms came in. only had a 1 other boat going around.

They got me for the left turn too and i was the only boat on the damn lake. My fiance's grandma lives just off the lake and i am normaly out there a couple days a week earlier in the day (work 3rd shift). Always down to ride.
