thanks for the input
get an inflatable pool -
the world would be your playground
Four bridges country club enterance - pretty sick waterfall
driving north along 127 - somewhere to your left (forget exactly where, saw it going to WN last year).
I'm sure there are alot more. just drive around

A buddy and i built a winch last year and just drove around to random spots.
Most of the time you will only get one or two pulls from a spot before you get kicked out or worse the cops show up.
We also found people who had a small pond on there property and would just knock on the door and post up there all day if they let us.
If you need any help or have questions building it let me know.

All said and done about $1,200.
You could do it under $1,000 easily. We spend some extra money and made are spindle walls out of aluminum and got them machine cut with a sick pattern on them.

We took the engine off my tiller and my buddy had a frame welded at his machine shop. We have about $400 wrapped up in that because of not having to pay for those two things. A centrifugal clutch is cheap and works but it's well worth the $150 for the TAV2 torque converter. Hey Zoolew...where's that sick damn at in Dayton? That's our issue up here...we can't find many spots worth hittin! The cops have nailed us twice!

Def go with a TAV2 over a CC. A TAV2 gives you alot more torque, with ours we can do deep starts! What HP engine are you going to use?
You should puts some picks up of your winch Malibu

UPDATE!
so today i went to a local park with my friend and we went back into the woods were a creek meets a river. i had been back there a couple of times just exploring, but the water was pretty high every time due to rain. this time i went back and the water was at a normal level and i ran across this BAMF!

its about 3-4 feet of water at the run up, about a 2 or 3 foot drop and 2-3 foot landing. the best part is there are no roads that you can see this spot from, its not on private property, and since its not a pond at a park or something like that i dont think the police could kick you out!
so what do you guys think? spot or not?

You could definitely have some fun at that spot! I'd hit that in a heartbeat but I'm guessing it's a ways away from Springboro?! Let us know when you do!

i would just make sure you have enough room to stop once you get moving...if this is your first winch spot i would also walk around the landing and make sure there's nothing that you can get TOO effed up on if you should fall...
you should ollie up instead of dropping it...

This spot is in Loveland, and it is a small overhead dam going from the O'banon creek into the Little Miami River.
As from my winch it is on the backburner right now. I was originally going to buy a dirtbike, but the deal fell through and I was going to make the winch. Then the guy called me and said that he still might have it. It looks like the deal might fall through again, so I'll probably make it anyway :D If i do I will post updates and pictures on here.

Good news! The dirtbike deal fell through again so I will for sure be making my winch. I plan on getting some stuff for it this weekend if everything goes right.

Here are a few pics of the winch. Its painted with truck bed liner(Linex) and all the pipe is bent. We still have to put the receiver mount and wheels on it.
Anyone ready to do some winching this weekend?
