Thank you to all the guys at Wake Nation! My wife and I were there for our first ride this past Sunday afternoon. We were the two without wetsuits, by the way it really wasn't that cold, we been in colder lakes in the spring.
We came down from Columbus and loved it. The facility is awesome, the lake is great, the cable system rocks and everyone was so helpful and nice.
We wake behind a boat in the Columbus area so this was our first experience with the cable wake. We will definitely be back down next summer and hopefully ready to try some of the jumps.
Thanks for everything and we would love to see a Wake Nation - Columbus!

Yo Mtneerz, where in Columbus do you ride? I ride at Alum most of the time since I live about 5 mins from there. Sad day today, just dropped my boat off to be winterized. Thinking of hitting Wake Nation when I go back down to pick it up, glad to hear the water isn't to bad.

We're either at Alum Creek (live in Westerville) or Delaware Lake. We tried Delaware Lake in August and loved it. We'll probably go up there more next summer. It was a lot less crowded on the weekends. We have 2 yound kids (7 and 6) that just started kneeboarding this past summer so less crowd is good for us. Overall it really wasn't the best summer for boating, hoping for a better 2010.
We're doing a full clean and wax of the boat this weekend and to winterize and storage in a couple of weeks. It's a sad say when it's officially over for the year.
Hopefully you can get down to Wake Nation, it's very cool.

I hear ya on not being the best summer. We would hit Alum in the afternoon/evenings usually Tues, Weds or Thurs and then get out there early on the weekends (around 9) for some sets. Alum does get busy but I haven't been to Delaware Lake in probably the last 8 years. Just dropped my boat off at No Wake in Cincy and will be doing the final wax and clean up either this weekend or next. What kind of boat do you have, we haven't really found anyone to hang out with who has a boat but I have 2 buddies that usually come with me and the wife...she hits the board as well.

We have a 95 Chris Craft 19Concept with 5.0l V8 volvo penta. We have a skylon wakeboard tower as well. Same here, other than who we bring with us, kids and friends, we haven't found anyone to hand out with. Maybe have to hookup next summer. My wife hits the board as well and hoping to start the kids next summer. They mastered kneeboarding first try, though they are super light and can start on their knees. What kind of boat setup do you have?

I have only tried kneeboarding once and that was back when I was about 10. Don't think the driver knew how to pull because it dam near ripped my arms out and took me face first, never tried it since. Check out the link below and see "Mark and Keri Aylor" and you will get a pic of who we are and our boat. Its a Malibu 23LSV

Beautiful boat, looks perfect for wakeboarding. You can really haul the people as well, that's nice, my boat can only hold 7. I've only ever boarded on our boat and now at wake nation. I'd love to try a wake specific boat sometime to see the difference.
Where do you store you boat for the winter? Yes I'm a WV fan, though I tolerate the buckeyes since we've lived in Columbus for 11 years. Take it easy!

We store it in a covered area off of Old State which is only about 2 miles from the lake. We usually go to New Galena Boat ramp because it is tucked back in a cover and therefore you don't have the wake or wind coming in as bad from the main lake. We'll definitely have to hook up next year as I am already hating the fact that the boat is getting put up for the winter. Might try to hit Wake Nation this saturday when we go pick the boat up.

Thanks Mark, my email is jefffowlerwvu@yahoo.com We'll have to try and get together next spring/summer out on the lake.
We winter store out boat at the Bait Store & Marina on corner of Sunbury and County Line (at Hoover Res). It's inside and heated which we like. In summer the boat fits angled across our 3 car garage.....cars get pushed outside.
We put in at the same ramp. Let me know how Wake Nation goes.
