I searched the forum and the only camping discussions I can find are those who have camped on nearby lakes. A few friends and I are driving from Nashville, TN this weekend to come ride. We could get a hotel, but with the weather being so nice this time of year, camping is less expensive and the more fun option.

I'm assuming camping is not allowed on the Wake Nation or Joyce Park premises? Where is the closest campground in relation to the park? We would be tent camping so we don't need anything too fancy. Thanks in advance.

The closest camping would be Winton Woods Park, search "Hamilton County Parks" in Cincinnati, OH. Miami Whitewater would be your second closest.

Wow. $25 per night, then a $2 per day car pass...that is pricey for a one night camp stay.

Campsites in TN are usually $15, sometimes $10 for tent sites with no car pass fees.

And yes Zach, I'm serious.

I guess the campsite is still the cheapest option. I called the courtyard Marriot and thats going to be about $140 a night. Are there hotels around (that aren't total $h*t holes) that are more affordable and close to the park? I searched Google maps for nearby hotels and I don't see a whole lot of selection.

bhyatt - I don't make the prices dude, you asked for camping and Winton Woods is the closest, you could try Houston Woods, or Brookville Lake, prob about a 30 to 40 min drive. Do a search on Orbitz.com, Extended Stay America (ESA) came up at $57.80 with tax for Saturday night in Sharonville. This is on the I-275 loop north side, 6.4 miles from Wake Nation. The Fairfield ESA came up at $67.52 with tax and is 4.9 miles.

Good Luck:rolleyes:

Thanks for the info man. We will either go camping or stay at one of the cheaper hotels. I searched every way but orbitz/travel sites - I didn't even think of that. Once again, thanks. Its always a shot in the dark when your going somewhere you've never been before.

You bet, either ESA are decent, both were built within the last 5 years or so and you get a Kitchen so you don't have to eat all meals out. Both area's have tons of resturants and bars close by and not far at all to Wake Nation.
