So I finally *FINALLY* got new boots today. 30% off at wake nation to my surprise! I got Hyperlite Mareks. To make it better, they fit perfectly on my '07 LF Watson board.
I had the LF Cab boot's (they looked like van's). And, WOW, what a MASSIVE difference in these boot's compared to the very loose cab's I had of prior. They allow me to turn my board on a dime, with instant response, and masterful control. HL's claim is they are easy to put on and take off. Hopefully after a few more ride's they will be. The little release pulls I think I'd change as they seem a bit small. Through out the day it got a little better so there's hope. :) Even still, I really enjoy these boot's! I have gained a whole new respect for this Watson board now that I have a killer boot attached to them. It's unreal! I feel like I am on a new board as well. :)
So, my next step is to buy a new board. Hopefully before WN closes for the year, sooner is better of course! I am pondering the LF Waton Limited WN has on their shelf (the grinder version so i can start hitting obstacles), but at the same time I am wondering what the equal is to that board in Hyperlite land if there is any such thing? I am certainly not against any other options in board's. I tend to stay brand specific, but it might be very hard to beat that Watson! I really like this board and I think Steve-O has me sold. :)
Thanks!
