Rider of the Month - Ryan Gillen

Just noticed this was the first ever rider of the month. Does anyone know Ryan , and if so whats he like. I have seen him out at Wake Nation before he des pretty well. Just wanted to know what others thought of Ryan Gillen, and his riding

I work with Ryan at Wake Nation and honestly there is not a better guy out there. He is always looking for ways to help and he is a great person to talk with. He is always ready to ride and learn/teach new tricks. Yesterday was our first contest at Wake Nation and it was all set up by Ryan. It was called the Gilligan Open lol

I didnt think the contest was set up very well. The rules he stated were not followed and i didnt think you could compete in your own contest. On that note; does anyone know where the standings for all the riders are for that competition if there were any.

It is really hard to set rules for your first contest. There are always unseen factors that come up. Heck, it was the first contest at Wake Nation ever. The next time around they will be ready for them.

There could have been a little more marketing that there was going to be a contest, but being on a Tuesday night and not letting too many riders compete makes me think they just wanted a small contest. They could have atleast posted a few pictures and the standings.

As far as riding in your own contest, that has been a problem for me before and I have no good answer for it. People are friends with the judges and the other riders always fell like they are getting the short end of the stick.
