Wanna Go Out West?

Just so everyone knows, IU Ski/Board Club does two trips out west every year. Last year we did Big Sky, Montana (Winter) and Telluride, Colorado (Spring.) These trips are by far the cheapest way to get out there. Since we go in a big group (100+) we can get nice, slope side accommodations at a very good deal. We take a bus out, and even though that sounds boring it's usually such a shit show that it ends up being as fun as the rest of the trip (and maybe more fun for those of us not so adept at boarding.)

You don't have to be in the club, or even have to go to IU. Anyone 18+ is welcome to come out. They are week long trips and we depart from Bloomington, IN (takes about 2.5 hours to get there from where I live on the east side of Cincinnati.)

I know, it's summer, but the more the merrier so I figured I'd start letting people know about it now. Obviously, there'll be more info as the time gets nearer. Happy riding! Whether it's on water or snow.

i know this is an old post, and its not exactly snowboarding season, but UK does the same thing (http://www.uksnowcats.com/) as IU, with basically the same rules (must be 18 and thats about it).

This year we went to Big Sky the same week as IU! It was a blast, there where a couple of other colleges there. Like L'Viaquez said, getting there was half the fun... We even had a kickass outdoor hot tub snowball fight with some IU riders!

Haha, yeah I definitely remember you guys being out there! Didn't KU bring something like 300 people last year? We only had about half that... Definitely a fun group though, where are you guys headed this year? Early news is that we're thinking Aspen for the winter break trip but it's still up in the air. No news on SB '10.

yeah we roll pretty deep... 4 busses plus the ballers who just flew into Bozeman. So far no news on next year, I'm not deeply involved with the group, I jsut pay my money and go ride (and party). We did aspena couple of years ago. Did SLC this spring.

Yeah I did aspen with friends in high school, it's a cool place but there are definitely other places i'd much rather go.

you guys should look into doing a South Lake Tahoe trip. there's not many places that are as much fun as southlake. i gotta place right down the street from the casino's. there's more resorts than you can shake a stick at too...
