I assume its ok to bring your own board and vest?? Is that correct?

You can bring your own board and vest. The vest must be Coast Guard Approved and your board needs to have molded fins. If the board has detachable (metal) fins they must be removed to hit obstacles. You need a helmet as well.

Anything you don't have you can rent at the shop.

If I'm wrong on any of this I'm sure others (Pete?) will correct me...

Hey man I was up there for training yesterday and we talked about fins and everything. Yes, you can have fins but I would just take them off. Secondly, I don't know if a lot of people ride with ipods or mp3 players but they are not aloud either...

Do the sliders damage your board?

They will damage your board. For the most part they will just put scuffs/scrapes on the bottom. However they can break - although it's not that common.

Keep in mind as well that the moment you hit an obstacle with your board you void your warranty. If you have a 3 / 4 year old board you may not care. But if you just dropped $300+ on a new board you might think twice.

My recommendation is to find a "slider" board. Look for an older used board on eBay and just use it for the park. And try to find one with molded fins. I guess you can keep your fins on but the obstacles will end up bending them...

If you leave your fins in and hit a decent amount of slider, your fins will over time will either ruin or they will ream out the holes in your board. The fins will then be useless.

Most people are worried about taking out their fins, but it really isn't much different behind a cable.

WakeNation is going to try and keep it safe for everyone. If someone falls at the end of a slider and a rider on the following line does not see them, then you could yell at the rider so that he does not land on the downed rider.

Just safety and insurance most likely.

T-Bird you are exactly right. We have to be able to communicate with all the rides at once.
