I was wondering what the deal is going to be with coast guard approved vest at WakeNation. OWC does not require an approved vest but I herd that there was another cable park, maybe TSR, that was requiring them.
I was just dusting off the boards and came across some vest that I would like to use again, because Sharkley busted me and I can't wear them anymore.

Sorry to say it but CGA vests are required at Wake Nation. Aside from Orlando, the other parks in the US are requiring CGA vest. It basically comes down to insurance and safety.
Thanks,
Pete

I should be set then... I have a big bag of about 8 of those orange suckers... So much for looking stylish... I just need to pick up the speedo...

So if I'm Wearing our inflatable Mascot Suit..Does that count or what if I'm taller than the water is deep.

Ok, there are exceptions to the rules...
Jason- If you wear all 8 orange vests at the same time, that's OK. If you were a speedo, you will be kicked out.
Bill- Inflatable mascot suit is required.

after dragging my ko'd friend to shore today, i don't know if i'll ever wear a vest that isn't cga again. if he wasn't wearing a legit vest he would have taken in a lot more water than he did.

I see what your saying but I have knocked myself out a few times and was never wearing a CGA. I think even if your gonna wear a non approved vest it should still supprt your body weight up in the water. It's not that big of a deal though I'm just pumped to have a cable park so close and I can rock an orange vest right?

fully agree on the cga vests. if you dont think you need one, blow your breath out while your floating in the water without a board on and you will sink (at least I did). I have always worn a cga and maybe I am just used to them but the jetpilot I wear is very comfortable and doesnt limit your flexibility or movement at all.

what kind of jet pilot do you have Rodney? all cga vests i have worn have limited my mobility and ability to bend thats why i havent worn one in over 2 years exept for at wakenation the other week.

keep in mind im not throwing mobes, 7's, etc....but can hit spin and flip comfortably so it may be different for each rider

I'm glad wakenation makes you wear CGA approved vests.
it helped keep me afloat and thats probably what made the difference in how much water i took in
