I just found out that you can rent a wakeboard boat on Lake Norris. They rent real wakeboard boats with V-drives, ballast, towers and perfect pass. I think it would be a really good idea for people that are not sure if they want an inboard boat.
Its call Norris Wakeboards and Inboards. They also rent boards and wave runners. Their website is www.Norriswakeboardsandinboards.com

Interesting...altough it looks expensive the prices are not that bad compared to what it would cost you to rent a crappy I/O.
I'll rent my boat...$36,000 for unlimited lifetime use :)

I just thought that it was a really good thing for a family that has an I/O to get the full inboard experience. Noone thinks that an inboard is really that different until they drive one and can turn on a dime and only reverse one direction.

I worked for Norris wake for a while...the sanger's are very easy to drive and when weighted down extra have a pretty good wake...

I think it's a great idea actually. I just don't know about the business logistics of it. I can't see how how you can buy a few new boats, rent them out, and make enough to cover the depreciation of the boat, maintenance, insurance, people breaking stuff, and still profit. Regardless I'm sure they have it figured out and there have been multiple times when I was younger that I would have jumped all over this.
Heck I'd almost rent mine out if I was getting $300+ a day for it. The only problem is I wouldn't sleep too well thinking about who had my boat and if they were taking care of it.

Hmm... maybe that's a business idea. A "boat" property management company... We'll sub-rent your boat out, cover the paperwork, make sure it's maintained, and cut you 70% of the rental fee. Anyone who stores their boat at a marina where renters can access it could do it.... Someone start that, guarantee me my boat will stay mint, nothing will get stolen, and cut me just 10% of every rental for the idea :D
