I flew over the Wake Nation site yesterday and they have most of the towers up. I think there was 4 out of 6 of them set up.

The buildings are ready to start the foundations.

The lake is more of an oval than it looked like in the anamation that is shows on their website. The buildings are ready to start the foundations.

Looks like they will have construction done way before the start of the season.

Yeah, we were up there on Monday. Its gonna be awesome up there. Its alot bigger than i thought. All the towers with the cable should be up by the end of the month is what we were told. The lake needs to be lined and then let the water flow...Gonna be a Long winter

Hey guys,

We have all 6 towers up! We are half way through putting the running cable up. We should have that finished my tomorrow (Sunday 10/25). The start dock is pretty much put together, but we have to wait till the liner goes in before we can install the floating dock. The elevator which brings the ski ropes to the motor tower is in. All electrical will be run from the garage to the operator station and to the motor tower on Monday and Tuesday. We are guessing that the entire cable will be finished by Friday of next week... maybe earlier.

We will finish digging the pro shop footers on Monday and should have the foundation finished shortly after. The well is almost done. We are 70 feet deep. We have another 30 feet to go. The liner goes in November 17. It will take 2 days to lay the liner and 2 weeks for final grading. So by December 5, we will start filling the lake with water. We should be wakeboarding on the lake by February. It will be cold but fun!

Definitely looking forward to coming home next summer. I live in Daytona Beach for school and hit up OWC once or twice a week (not right now, boards broke :-( ) so it will be nice to continue to ride cable on the weekends. I'll have my pilots license by then so I can fly my plane down whenever I want. Should be sweet!!!!
