What do people think about doing a Fall event? It doesn't have to be anything fancy... Maybe just a get together on the river or at a lake. I'd like to do it around Cincinnati (so Norris / Cumberland are out). Although I'm not sure exactly what we would do... Maybe grill out? A "bar hop" on the river? Ideas?

I think having an event near Cincinnati is a great idea! I'd contact Beer Cellar or Yacht Club and see if they have anything they could offer if we bring a crowd of people (bands, drink specials, etc.) There seems to always be something going on in front of the Newport Levee, could that be a good spot for demos?

Ludlow Bromley's is a great place on the river. Great crowd, all ages, boat tie ups, etc. Easy to get to by land and water.

i say we do something that would pull as many boat owners and riders together as possible. i think we should stay away from willytown because of the unwanted attention towards the wakeboats. A hugh tie up or raft or whatever you call it would be cool down on the licking. Get everyone and their brother to come down and hang out, ride and then go out the main to hit the bars..Try and make it a yearly thing. maybe make a small contest out of it or maybe get a pro to show up.

hmm... i definitely think the Ohio river is about the only feasible place. Plus there are plenty of places to visit.
We could probably do something down at the LBYC. There's dock space to tie off boats and the water down that way typically is much smoother. So if people wanted to ride they could... If they wanted to hang out and mingle on the docks they can do that too... I just don't know what the heck we'd do for activities. Bingo?

I should be down this weekend (at least for Saturday). Come by the house anytime - I have the box there. Also - if anyone else wants a shirt they are $5... I have quite a few left over.

I agree with Jason about the Yacht Club. It's a nice set up for dock tie ups and everything. What's the dates we are looking at to do this. Jason i'll be over sometime saturday to get a shirt. Anyone heading out to the licking wednesday or thursday evening

So anymore progress on the fall event. Like where and when. Ludlow would be a great place to have it.

No progress. I'm going to go ahead and probably say it might be next year. Maybe in the Spring. I just have too much going on right now. :(

I am planning a Raft-Up with a few non-wakeboard boat friends @ Ocean Brookville:rolleyes: on September 13th, 14th rain date. When we go there we arrive no later than 8AM, make a few runs near the dam for smooth water, raft up for lunch and surf the ocean in the afternoon. Any and all are welcome to join in!
