Part of something bigger

So I've had plans for a while to develop a site (www.cincywake.com) that is basically the same as what we do here but on a larger scale. It would be a wakeboarding specific community for the greater Cincy area. I'd like to know what you all would think if I merged the wanksters site into cincywake.com.

I could keep both separate but in order to promote cincywake.com I'd probably spend more time posting there and on the development of that site. Plus I think it gives people the opportunity to meet other local riders and enthusiasts that we don't necessarily get from little old Willytown.

The wanksters will not die. In fact we can create a social group (see http://willytownwanksters.com/wankboard/group.php) to keep our name in the books.

Thoughts...? Will anyone be disappointed? If so speak up. No hard feelings if you are against it.

It's not an effort to share or make willytown more known. There will separate areas for each local lake (Brookville, willy, ohio river, east fork, etc) where people can share - not just a place to promote willy.

something simialr to apwake.com?.. except more of a forum, and not profiles not based on sharing video and pictures. something a little bigger and more interactive, but still local could be fun

No...i understand that the whole idea is to belong to a much broader group or forum that share the same interest, but inheirently just by belonging to a much larger organization or group will expose your (in this case....lake) to a lot more people, of whom some will want to sample you got, and as you well know, more wakeage will just eventually ruin it for all of us.

But....it just struct me, that if we let it be known that this is a heavily "no ballast" patrolled lake, its unlikely that any new WakeMakers would be interested in trying out our Playground.

So......after second thought...sounds like a new and exciting thing.

i think its a good ideal and im all for it..... i think keeping our group is good to.... Rick just an old guy..... i like the ideal of getting views of other riders and tips and hints on learning new tricks.... plus i think it will help us fill the boats down here to make our wakes legal and give thoughs of us that are boat less and on different schedules than the usuals riders here will get more chances to ride and help everyone learn more.... plus im sure everyone on here is just like me and could sit here on and talk boarding all day long!.......
