2nd Annual Willytown Throwdown is Saturday May 31st. We will run an intermediate (1 invert or less) and advanced division for sure. Depending on the number or riders and skill levels we may add / change divisions. First rider is off the dock at 9:00.
Event is not land accessible unfortunately but everyone is welcome to attend. Tell your friends, bring the family, etc. Spread the word - the more the merrier.

So just curious what is the official Tow Boat of the 2008 Willytown Throwdown. Is it Mastercraft, Centurion, or Nautique.

Details:
Divisions: intermediate (1 invert or less) and advanced (2 or more inverts)
Entry fee: $20 (you get a free tshirt also). All entry fee money will go towards awarding prizes (I keep nothing, club keeps nothing - not in this to make money).
Prizes: Each division will have a Best Crash and Best Fashion Air award in addition to the traditional 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Prizes will be dependent upon number or riders that register.
Registration: 8:00 - 8:45 am
Time: Intermediate is off the dock by 9:00am, Advanced will follow
Location: Williamstown Lake, Riders will start off of the Phillipo's dock and head towards slalom cove. The start / end buoys will be marked. Phillipos dock is at the opposite end of the lake from the Williamstown Marina. If you left Ruby's Marina you would veer right and just keep going. You will see everything setup - you can't miss it.
Unfortunately there is no public land access near the tournament location. Therefore to watch the event you have to come by boat. :(
Event is open to anyone and everyone who wants to ride. However there is a limit of riders due to time constraints (15 intermediate, 15 advanced - 1st come 1 serve). I don't think that will be an issue but just in case it is you cannot say I didn't warn people.
Tshirts are free to riders but will be $10 each to those who want one. I'm only ordering 50 so they will be 1st come 1st serve.
Tournament will be pulled behind the pumpkin X-Star. It will be properly weighted... :D
Now ... if you plan on riding can you respond below "yes or no" and if yes what division will you be riding in?

I've ordered 50 shirts: 5 small, 10 medium, 20 large, 15 XL. Tournament riders get 1 for free. The rest will be for sale after the event for $10 each first come first serve.
Sorry - I would have ordered more but I don't want to take the chance on getting stuck with 30 extra tshirts and eating the cost.

Tourney is still a go.... make sure you invite your family, friends, cousins, neighbors, and a few random people off the streets.
With all that's going on we need to come together as a lake community to support wakeboarding and save the wakeboats!

Keep an eye out on wakeworld.com and wakeboarder.com. I just submitted the press release to them this morning so we should see something show up in a week or two.

Will there be a Throwdown this year? Or did I miss it?

hmm... it's being thrown around but the issue is the guy who organized it the past 2 years (me) is a tad busy. I'd love to do it but I don't have the time right now to put into it and make sure things go the way they should. Rodney and BZ have offered to help take the reigns but I haven't even been able to get with them on what all in involved...
So I'd say it's possible - but not likely at this point in time.
